When do deliveries begin?
Cheffy is in development. We haven’t committed to a delivery date, and we’d rather tell you nothing than tell you something we can’t hold to. Everyone on the waitlist hears first, and hears the truth.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Cancel anytime. We schedule a free pickup, no fees and no questions. The machine comes back to us, gets refurbished, and goes on to another kitchen.
What happens to my Cheffy if the company disappears?
Cheffy’s recipe library lives on the machine, not in the cloud, so it keeps cooking without our servers. We’re an early-stage company and we won’t pretend otherwise — that’s exactly why we designed it not to depend on us.
Is Cheffy safe around an open flame and kids?
Safety guides every design decision. Cheffy is designed so three cameras watch the pan every second, thermal sensors track the heat, and your phone is alerted the moment anything looks off. Like any stove, it will need to be used attentively around children and pets. That is the standard we are building to, and we will confirm it before delivery.
Does it work with my stove and my pans?
Cheffy is designed for gas and electric ranges that use physical control knobs, mounting over your burners and adjusting the heat itself. Touch-panel induction cooktops aren’t part of the plan yet. We’ll confirm exact compatibility before delivery.
How does Cheffy connect to the internet?
The plan is that home WiFi powers the full AI experience, and that preset cooking will work completely offline.
Does Cheffy cook fully autonomously?
That’s what we’re building: you load the ingredients, and Cheffy weighs, seasons, stirs, and watches the pan. You stay the head chef and can override anything from your phone. We’re honest that this is the hard part and it isn’t finished.
Can anyone see through Cheffy's cameras?
No. Cheffy is designed so the cameras judge your food, not your kitchen: video will be processed for cooking decisions only, and no one will be able to view your home unless you start a support session, which you end whenever you want.
Do I need to share my data for Cheffy to work?
No. Cheffy is designed to process only limited cooking data to fulfil your requests. We won’t build a profile of you and we will never sell your data, and you’ll be able to opt out of sharing data to improve Cheffy at any time.
How is Cheffy operated?
The plan is that you talk to it or use the app: name a craving, a goal, or a macro target, schedule your week, and dinner starts before you’re home.
How much does it cost to run?
Your stove provides the heat, so Cheffy itself is designed to draw very little power — pennies a day, even cooking daily. We’ll confirm this before delivery.
What about cleaning?
Cheffy is designed so every part that touches food — tools, containers, the scale tray — pops off and goes in the dishwasher, and the arm wipes clean.
Can Cheffy do my dishes?
No, Cheffy cooks; your dishwasher does the dishes. It knows its lane: dinner.
Am I locked into buying Cheffy's ingredients?
Never. Cook with your own groceries, your own pans, your own recipes. Optional pre-portioned kits and seasoning pods exist for convenience, never as a requirement.
What can it actually cook?
That’s what we’re building: anything that happens in a pan — stir-fries, curries, proteins, pastas, sauces, breakfasts. The library will grow every month, and every dish is meant to adapt to your taste.
What about allergies?
Cheffy is designed to give every family member a profile and filter every recipe against it. Since you load the ingredients yourself, you’ll control exactly what goes in the pan.
What maintenance is required?
The plan is simple: while you’re subscribed, if anything ever fails, a replacement is at your door within 48 hours.
What happens if the power goes out mid-cook?
Cheffy is designed so the burner knob physically springs to OFF with no electricity needed, and the arm parks clear. When power returns, it will never resume on its own; it will ask you first.
What if my WiFi drops while it's cooking?
The cook is designed to finish. Vision and safety are meant to run on the machine itself; the cloud plans dinner, but it won’t hold the spatula.
Can I stop it from anywhere?
That’s what we’re building: a stop button in the app whenever Cheffy cooks — arm parks, burner off, alert sounds.
Does Cheffy control my stove's heat?
Yes, that’s the design: a small device fits over your burner’s knob so Cheffy can raise and lower the flame itself, and shut it off, every time, without fail.
Where is Cheffy made?
Designed in Pennsylvania. We haven’t selected a manufacturing partner yet, and we’ll say where it’s built the moment we have.
