Ask ten people how they like their steak and you'll get ten different dinners. Salt is personal. Spice is personal. Doneness is practically a fingerprint. And yet every cookbook, every recipe app, and every kitchen machine ever built cooks for the same imaginary person: the average eater, who does not exist. We're building Cheffy around an idea we call Flavor DNA: a private profile of how you actually like to eat, learned from the simplest signal in the world, your reaction to the plate. Rate tonight's dinner once. A little too salty. Could use more sear. The next time that dish comes around, it isn't a note in a journal, it's a correction in grams and degrees. Less salt means a measured amount less. More sear means a hotter pan, held longer, watched the whole way.
This is the part that only works because Cheffy cooks with instruments instead of instincts. A human cook hears "less salty" and guesses. A machine that weighs every gram and reads every pan doesn't have to guess, it adjusts by exactly the amount the last plate was off. Meal after meal, the corrections get smaller. The plates get closer. The cook becomes yours.
One table, everyone's version of right
Taste isn't even personal to a household, it's personal to a person. The same family table holds someone who wants it mild, someone who wants it burning, a medium-rare and a well-done. So Flavor DNA belongs to each person, not each machine. Say who dinner is for, and Cheffy cooks that plate to that profile. One dinner, four versions of right, nobody settling.

Where this goes
A hundred years of kitchen machines asked people to adapt to them, their settings, their presets, their idea of done. We think it should finally run the other way. The more dinners Cheffy cooks for you, the less it cooks like a machine and the more it cooks like someone who knows you. Because the best cook you'll ever have isn't the most technical one. It's the one who knows exactly how you like it.
